Rafiq Rahim joined 91ÇÑ×Ó in 2016 as a coordinator of the DARP-CSU Muslim Biomedical Ethics (MBE) project.
The project aims to analyse and appraise philosophical and religious responses to biomedical-ethical issues, such as abortion, euthanasia, organ transplant, surrogacy, and issues realted to life-styles.
In addition to his research work in the project, Rafiq also serves as Module Convenor and Lecturer for the two-term module on Law, Ethics and Society for the Graduate Program of Islamic Studies and Humanities (GPISH).
Himself a graduate of GPISH (class of 2006), Rafiq pursued his MA in Philosophy and Literature from Warwick University. His research interest lies in moral philosophy and classical Persian poetry. Outside academia Rafiq likes to spend time exploring black and white film photography.
