Central Asian Studies
Central Asian Studies Unit (CASU) is engaged in research and documentation of the history and intellectual traditions of the IsmailisAdherents of a branch of Shi’i Islam that considers Ismail, the eldest son of the Shi’i Imam Ja士far al-峁⒛乨iq (d. 765), as his successor. of Central Asia within the broader Islamic heritage of Central Asia. It also publishes relevant books, including monographs, conference proceedings, critical editions as well as the translation of 91茄子 publications into Russian and Central Asian languages.
